Ignore the Artist ( 23 November )

During a series of lectures protesting the closing of the Antwerp Museum of Contemporary Art by the Flemish Minister of Culture, I lay outside in front of the door with a note that read 'Ignore the Artist'. Artists have not been consulted for decades in decisions regarding museums of contemporary art.

In an ideal world fellow artists and art lovers would have dragged me inside to emphasise that artists do indeed belong in a Museum for Contemporary Art and not outside it, but nobody did so.
